This collection follows on from the trading cards and starts at number 61, and ends on number 120.
Stickers were sold in envelope packets of three “blistered” together as pictured, and were sold in convenience stores from numbered boxes. The number on the back of the box is stamped as a record of how many units are sold, and each number would have been logged to a particular store (the box pictured is stamped “191”).
Cost of a sticker packet at the time appears to be 20円 (yen) as printed on the box. Above this it reads:
株式会社 (Co. Ltd; refering to Amada アマダ) 東 No.105 (Unsure about the significance of this number as it appears on all sticker boxes).
Some backs of the stickers have a red stamp marked “Lucky Card”.
ラッキーカード
Lucky Card
あたりだ!!
Atari da!! (Success)
ニのカードをアル バ ムと
とりかえよう
(Roughtly) Album and two cards in exchange
I believe this was to aid promotion of the sticker and trading card collections by way of cross-trading, so children were encouraged to complete both sets (cards 1-60, stickers 61-120). I think this was the only way to get the sticker album book too.
